This policy explains what information 97.7 WBMC, a Main Street Media station, collects on this website and how it is used.
Information you give us
When you use a form on this site (song requests, birthday and anniversary shout-outs, community events, lost and found pets, advertising inquiries or contact), we collect what you type in, such as your name, phone number, email address and message. We use it to:
- read your shout-out, request or announcement on the air, or post it on this site, when the form says so
- respond to you or check a detail
- reply to advertising or other inquiries
We never read your phone number or email on the air, except a lost and found pet report where you check the box allowing us to share your number.
Contest entries are handled under our General Contest Rules and any rules for that contest.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages visited) for security and to keep the site running. This site does not use advertising tracking cookies.
Other companies whose content appears here
- Live stream: when you press play, your device connects to our streaming provider’s server, which receives your IP address.
- YouTube: videos load from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode, and only after you press play.
- Facebook: show pages display posts from the show’s Facebook page. Facebook may set cookies under its own policy when that feed loads.
- News and weather: headlines from the Main Street Journal and other news services link to their own websites. Weather comes from the National Weather Service; no personal information is sent to it.
Those companies’ own privacy policies apply to what they collect.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the station and this website (such as our web host and email service), or when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep form submissions only as long as we need them for the purpose you sent them, then delete them.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
